Mini Primark Shopping Spree!

Hey Guys!

So its been a while.. i am sorry its been a difficult time for me at the moment so blogging just sort of had to take a back seat in my life.

Any who i went shopping yesterday with my beaut sister and as you can probably tell from the labels it was a successful trip to Primark!

This NEVER normally happens... i like Primark but i never really buy anything. I mostly browse, pick things up and them put them back in a random place because lets face it.. the ques in that place are longer than those at ASDA on black Friday! So this time  i brought things :)

The crochet top picked out by my sister is one that Zoella actually brought on her last Primark haul video. I didn't think much of it at first sight but actually trying it on, its surprisingly flattering and doesn't look like something your Nan knitted for next doors dog. I am very into stripes at the moment and thought this would look nice with some black skinny jeans or maybe a skater skirt.

The shorts in the top right are just a plain navy blue runner short, now, i brought some like this from Top shop last year and thought those were reasonably priced.. no where near these bad boys as these were only £3! I like their simplicity and i love comfy shorts in
summer so these were a win win! The shoes in the bottom right were a little pricey for Primark i thought as these rocked up at £8 but having said that i brought them because i loved them and to be fair you aren't going to find summer flats cheaper than that.

I have actually always wanted to pull of the flower headband or crown as they are sometimes referred too, so when i went in i tried a few on.. i found that the big flowers really made my head look pea-sized and teeny but the smaller daintier ones actually didn't look half bad! hence why i picked this little beauty up with small pale pink roses dotted across the band with small green leaves in between them.

Again scrunchies are another thing i wanted to be able to pull off so i picked up this cute pair which has one plain white one and another which is blue with small daisies on it. i feel like accessories are my weakness as i never really accessorize and i feel like i should? so hopefully what I've picked up is a good starting point :).

Finally i picked up these sunglasses... i love the big bug-eye ones which look so cute and fun but they just make me look even smaller then i am so i opted for these, which are a tortoise shell design (let me know if it isn't that i am not too sure!). I chose these because i felt like they would go with a lot of outfits and because of their colour I'm not being too boring going for a plain black or white.

So, that's it! a long post for today guys, let me know if you have any questions/queries anything like that i would love to hear from you! :)

I know its been far too long since i wrote my last post (sorry, sorry, sorry) its not very often i get to pick up new beauty products to try out!

I am really looking forward to experimenting this year with new make-up brands, new colours, new tools, more diverse products and using my favourite brands more. So... todays post is a bit of a new start, i thought this new product i had purchased seemed fitting. It is new to me but not new to the market and its the 'ecotools retractable foundation brush'.

i have never brought from this brand before as personally i think it is a little over priced BUT i did buy this product as a special offer item (£2.50!?!? i know...AMAZING supposed to be £9.99) and so i figured if it was a product i loved i wouldnt mind purchasing more of their products.

Its been so long ive almost forgotten how to type...
first impressions of the brand are good, its economically friendly and animal cruelty free which are always good in my books. It has this cute little bag which is green in which you can take your retractable foundation brush on your travels.
The brush itself is super soft and i quote "shaped like your fingertip to apply foundation with precision" i love this... its chunky and yet travel size, delicate yet durable and it comes with a lid thats bottom-of-handbag-fluff-proof perfect!

its application is easy and streak-free even as a small sized brush and its bristles dont detach themseleves and try to become part of your face. Its a beautiful shade of bronze and i am very happy with my BARGIN FIND if you would like to know more be sure to comment/like or message me on Twitter/Facebook,

Benefit 'Powderflage'

Today's review is of Benefits powderflage, for anyone wondering it is quite the challenge photographing this tiny weeny pot with an iPod camera so i did use the benefit website image of this product which i will post a link to at the end of this review!

I know most people wont even consider this because it is a powder concealer. Yep, that's right powder power! for the people who know me well enough to see me without makeup (feel incredibly special right now) then you'll know i am rather insecure about my under eye dark circles... I've tried various concealers and correctors and i just don't notice that big a difference. I don't have mass amounts of money so i do try and stick to brands i can find in shops such as boots, I am comfortably using No17 heavy duty under eye concealer at the moment but again i still feel they stand out.

I had this little pot of pink powdery-ness given to me as a gift a little while back and at first i hated it!, it made my eyes dry, it made them shimmery and i refused to put it on my face. But, after learning new tips about makeup and how to apply it, i noticed a massive difference in the effect of powderflage when it was put on top of my heavy duty under eye concealer. it lifted my eyes when i had a moisturised background to work on, which made all the difference.

The slightly pink shimmery powder reflects light making your under eye dark circles appear lighter and less visible but, ensure you use a moisturising base so that it doesn't dry your eye area out.

at £19.50 it isn't cheap for the amount that you get, but its the only thing which has made me feel thoroughly comfortable about my under eye dark circles and i will definitely purchase it when i run out of my current  pot, because although it is petite, you only need the smallest amount on the brush to blend in to make your eyes instantly brighter!

French Manicure

I don't know why i love french manicures so much, but i do know why i hate beauty salons because like seriously why pay £30 plus for fake nails when your own are as good as any! Yes these are REAL NAILS (not mine though) Beautiful aren't they?  i was the one who, however, managed the french mani procedure and i am thrilled with the results.

I used Nail Guide Tips to create an seemingly effortless white tip and by using a slightly coloured base coat in nude, adds to the professional look. A little bit of glittered top coat makes them a little more unique and perfect for a special night out!

Barry M - Gelly Hi-Shine Autumn Range

So yesterday i went out and brought three new shades of Barry M nail varnishes, they are of course from their Autumn Gelly Hi-Shine range as i figured it was fitting to add some colour to my very dark winter wardrobe. They are in the colours; Mustard, Chilli and Lychee.

Although i adore all of the colours i brought i did immediately favor the Mustard colour as it isn't a colour which is commonly sought after, its unique and the colour is almost identical to the leaves wilting from the trees (rhyming genius over here.)

All photos have been taken by moi and show the three nail varnishes purchased, and as you can tell, the mustard was my favorite to try out first!
